Free Purina Dog Treats at Dollar General and Family Dollar

Purina Dog treats are $1.00 at both Family Dollar and Dollar General. The coupon is for $3.00 off of three. So that's free! If you purchase any at Dollar general make sure to have them scan three then scan one coupon.

Here is the coupon which expires 10/28/13

I have also found Dole Fruit Crisp for $1.65 at Cash Savers. If you have one in your area you can use the manufacturer's coupon for .75 off. That is the cheapest I have ever paid for these sweet treats.

Here is the coupon. It expires  10/05/13
Also if you live in the Memphis area the Delta Fair started this past Friday. Check with your child's school and see if they have any free kid's admission passes.

Here is my haul for CVS 8/25/13-8/31/13.

Savings, Recipes and Other Motherly Duties

Let's start with savings! If you are new to couponing then start with Coupons.com. Once you sign up you can receive emails that alert you with new coupons throughout the month. You can print the coupons you need from your personal computer. WARNING: Only two coupons per computer. If you have more than one computer then you can obviously print more. There is also Save.com, which is where you will find Redplum coupons. If you don't know Redplum has a coupon insert in your local newspaper.

Another helpful website would be Southernsavers.com. This website will practically hold your hand through the entire process from grocery stores like Kroger to Pharmacies like CVS. They have videos and a couponing 101 booklet that you can print out. The website also provides shopping lists and scenarios every now and then. Couponingwithgregthatdude.com is another great blog that focuses on stores like Dollar General and Family Dollar. Greg also provides videos of scenarios while providing just enought to help newbies.
